Figure 1: You can print custom parts for your PiBoy DMG with the help of user created 3D designs.
If you’d like to customize or create accessories for your PiBoy DMG 3D printing is the easiest and cheapest way to get there. Recently several PiBoy users have created and published ready-to-use files that you can use with your own 3D printer or send to a 3D printing service. You can find all of these new parts and accessories by going to Thingiverse and searching for “PiBoy DMG”. Currently there are alternative front buttons, shoulder buttons and docks designs available to download.
Once you’ve downloaded the STL files you can import them in to a slicer program of your choice and send them to your 3D printer. We recommend printing the parts with ABS filament. If you don’t own a 3D printer you can send the files to a 3D printing service such as Shapeways to have them printed for you. If you send the files to a printing service you can choose the material, color and number of parts you’d like printed.
If you’d like to print your own stock PiBoy parts such as buttons we have STL files for 3D printing available here. You can also use our stock part STL files as a starting point for creating your own custom parts.
